Las Olas Boulevard
What better way to relax on vacation than with some retail therapy? Of course there are plenty of places to shop 'til you drop throughout Fort Lauderdale, but the Las Olas Boulevard district will make you want to stay on your feet. Check out countless boutiques, eateries, venues, galleries, salons and more.
Step back in time.
History buffs and art lovers alike will get a kick out of the Bonnet House. A preserved plantation home, the Bonnet House features a beautiful garden and a museum with a variety of local artifacts and one-of-a-kind art.
Stay a while.
There's even more local history to be explored at the Stranahan House. A circa-1901 trading post and residence, the house is now operated as a museum. Embark on a guided tour to see unique artifacts while being regaled by a knowledgable guide.
Learn a thing or two.
Fort Lauderdale Beach Park
Kids and adults alike can benefit from a visit to the Museum of Discovery and Science. One of the largest museums of its kind in the state, and boasting the most visitors of any museum in the state, the museum features exhibits like Living in the Everglades, the EcoDiscovery Center, and Powerful You.

Whether you're looking for a way to stretch your legs or a chance to get a close up look at some tropical wildlife, Hugh Taylor Birch State Park is a great option. Beach front views, walking and biking trails, and everything gopher tortoises to opossums roaming free – it's a great place to get lost without even leaving town.
